What is it?

Aura 3D Facial Analysis assesses facial symmetry, volume distribution, skin quality and the ageing map using three-dimensional imaging. It requires no injection or intervention of any kind.

The result of the analysis forms the basis of a personalised treatment plan, but it does not oblige you to start any treatment. On its own it is enough to understand your face better and make an informed decision. This also needs to be stated plainly: the analysis shows the current state; it does not predict what will happen after a treatment, and it carries no commitment to a result.

Aura 3D is a comprehensive facial assessment protocol supported by medical imaging technology. It examines facial proportions, symmetry, volume loss, skin quality and the ageing map in three dimensions. The data obtained are interpreted from a clinical perspective by Dr. Burak Demirhan, and a realistic, scientifically grounded treatment plan specific to the patient is drawn up. The analysis is entirely non-invasive; it involves no needle or intervention of any kind.

Dr. Burak Demirhan Explains

Why does transparency matter so much in medical aesthetics? (in Turkish)

English translation of the answer

Why does transparency matter so much in medical aesthetics, and how does Aura support the process? Transparency is the foundation of patient trust and of an ethical approach, because every procedure we carry out is directly tied to a person's face and expression. The Aura 3D imaging system makes that transparency concrete. Instead of giving the patient a verbal assessment alone, we can go through the 3D model of their face and its measurements together with them. That way it is clear why we treat a particular area, or why we hold back in another. When patients see objective analyses carried out on their own face, they take part in the process in a far more informed and confident way. This strengthens expectation management and puts the patient–physician relationship on a much healthier footing.

From the FACE Bosphorus 2026 talk (in Turkish)

English translation of the talk

Hello everyone, I'm Dr. Burak Demirhan. I was born in 1997, the third child of a surgeon father and a dentist mother. I graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2022; after completing my compulsory service I opened my own practice straight away. I have been doing medical aesthetic treatments for about four years. We came across Aura at a congress chaired by my mentor Yasemin; within three days the device was in our practice, because it solved a very big problem for us. Since 4 December we have taken more than 680 Aura scans. I have attended IMCAS, AMWC and many congresses in Türkiye; I have trained a great deal with my mentor İlker Yörük and benefited a lot from Arthur Swift's academy. For us, Aura means one capture and a smarter consultation: we capture the face in just 3 seconds, and the consultation that follows is far better informed. The device has 12 plus 1 lenses and 18 light sources. At my practice, everyone who comes through the door has an Aura scan first. Earlier technologies could not deliver accurate 3D precision, took time and needed several captures. Aura can model the whole face in a single capture of about 3 seconds.

How is the analysis carried out?

First, your medical history and expectations are noted in detail. A multi-angle 3D map of the face is then captured with dedicated imaging equipment. Digital analysis software converts symmetry, volume, skin quality and the distribution of ageing into numerical data. Dr. Demirhan combines these data with the patient's anatomy to form a personal treatment recommendation.

  1. A conversation covering medical history and goals.
  2. A multi-angle 3D facial scan with dedicated equipment.
  3. AI-assisted digital analysis: symmetry, volume and the ageing map.
  4. Physician assessment and preparation of a personalised report.

Treatment Areas

  • Facial symmetry and golden ratio analysis
  • Map of volume loss and hollowing
  • Identification of areas of ageing
  • Skin quality assessment

  • Planning a personal treatment timeline

Procedure Steps

  1. Registration and medical history

Medical history, current concerns, expectations and priorities are noted.

  2. 3D scan

The face is imaged in three dimensions from multiple angles with dedicated equipment.

  3. Digital analysis

Symmetry, the volume map and the ageing analysis are produced with the support of software.

  4. Physician assessment

Dr. Burak Demirhan interprets the findings from a clinical perspective.

  5. Planning conversation

Personalised treatment options, a timeline and realistic expectations are discussed.

Duration and Longevity

The Aura 3D analysis is a one-off, although repeating it every year is recommended. Because facial structure changes with age, an up-to-date analysis makes the treatment plan more accurate.

Who is it suitable for?

  • People who want detailed information before starting treatment
  • People who want to draw up a plan before filler or biostimulator treatment
  • People who notice signs of ageing in their face and are unsure what to do
  • People who want to prioritise more than one treatment
  • People who prefer to take informed, unhurried steps

Who is it not suitable for?

  • People who think the analysis is a treatment — it is an imaging and planning step and does not in itself correct any concern
  • People who expect the report to promise a definite result — the analysis shows the current state, it does not predict a future result
  • People expecting a medical diagnosis of a skin condition, pigmentation or similar — this analysis does not make a diagnosis
  • People who believe they must have a procedure after the analysis — there is no such obligation
  • People with an open wound, an active infection or a recent procedure in the facial area (imaging may be postponed)
  • People who come for a comparison but have no previous record: to see change, records taken on at least two different dates are needed; the first analysis is a starting point, not a comparison.

Aftercare

  • There are no restrictions after the analysis.
  • Take time to go through your report.
  • Note down your questions and share them with your doctor at the second meeting.
  • Do not rush the treatment decision; the report belongs to you.
  • Consider arranging an annual follow-up analysis.
  • You can reach the clinic via WhatsApp with any concern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is 3D facial analysis done in Istanbul?

The Aura 3D facial analysis described on this page is done at the Dr. Burak Demirhan practice in Küçükyalı, Istanbul. It assesses facial symmetry, volume distribution, skin quality and the ageing map with three-dimensional imaging; it needs no injection or intervention. The measurement gives data for treatment planning at the consultation and is not a treatment on its own.

What is Aura 3D facial analysis, and what exactly does it measure?

It is a comprehensive analysis protocol that assesses facial symmetry, volume loss, skin quality and the ageing map using 3D imaging. The results are reported on the same day.

How long does the Aura 3D analysis take, and when is the report given?

It takes 45 to 60 minutes, including scanning and reporting. The findings are shared on the same day; a detailed planning conversation is also part of this session.

Is the Aura 3D analysis painful? Does it involve needles or any intervention?

No. It is an entirely non-invasive imaging and assessment process; it involves no injection or intervention of any kind.

Is it necessary to start treatment after the analysis?

No. The analysis is a stand-alone service, and after receiving the report the patient can make a treatment decision whenever they choose. There is no obligation to be referred to any treatment.

Who is the Aura 3D analysis recommended for, and who is it not suitable for?

It is recommended for anyone who notices signs of ageing in their face, who wants to draw up a detailed plan before filler or biostimulator treatment, or who is thinking about improving their overall appearance.

How is an Aura 3D analysis appointment arranged, and is any preparation needed?

You can arrange an appointment for an initial assessment meeting. No price information is given on this page; the factors that affect the assessment become clear at the examination.

Can I show the analysis report to another doctor?

Yes. The analysis report belongs to you, and you can show it to any physician you choose, whenever you choose.

Is the Aura 3D analysis a treatment, and is a procedure required afterwards?

No, it is not a treatment. It is an imaging and planning step; it does not in itself correct any concern. There is also no obligation to have any procedure after the analysis. Its purpose is for you to see what is happening in your face before you make a decision.

Can the analysis report promise how the result will turn out?

No. The analysis shows the current state; it does not predict what will happen after a treatment. The result depends on the tissue's own response, the amount used and factors that vary from person to person. The report is a planning tool, not a commitment to a result.

Is the analysis enough on its own to show change?

To see change, records taken on at least two different dates are needed. The first analysis is a starting point; a comparison only becomes possible after the second record. If you have no previous record, this first analysis takes on that role.
